I want to share how grateful I am for Dr. Amanda and Arms of Aloha who gave our Twinkle the most gentle and peaceful transition. Her kindness, compassion, and care made an impossibly hard moment a little easier, and we are so grateful. Our sweet girl was able to cross over from the most comfortable place possible, surrounded by love, and I will always be thankful for that gift. The entire experience could not have gone any better. I was able to schedule right on their website which I really appreciated (before I knew about Arms of Aloha, I’ve had to call my vet clinic to schedule for my past pets and making that phone call is awful). You can also request that they communicate by text or phone which was such a relief, as I was an emotional mess. The day of, I received a caring text from Chris confirming the appointment. Dr. Amanda texted when she arrived which was a few minutes before the scheduled time. Upon meeting her, I could tell she understood just what we were going through. She was so respectful, calm and caring. We did not feel at all rushed, she took so much time letting us just be with our girl. She explained everything and while we waited for the sedation to take effect we got to know each other a little more and she made us feel as though we’d been friends for a long time. After my girl was gone, she lovingly wrapped her up in a swaddling blanket. I was especially touched by the song that was playing when I placed my girl in Dr. Amanda’s car. They truly understand and even offer support days later, via email and even a voicemail from their chaplain. About a week later, I received a beautiful handmade card with a comforting handwritten message from Dr. Amanda along with some keepsakes. Dr. Amanda and the Arms of Aloha team helped make the hardest goodbye a little easier and I am so grateful for the service they offer. With heartfelt gratitude, LB💜
Letting go to a family pet is one of the hardest experiences to go through. Often it’s like losing a limb. We have had to say goodbye to two beloved family dogs in the past 5 years. I’m so grateful for the vets at Arms of Aloha for their compassion and kindness through such a heartbreaking experience. They are incredibly professional and kind and treat you and your pet with compassion and respect. Thank you so much, Arms of Aloha.
Dr Naun was wonderful. Having to say goodbye to my dog was one of the hardest things I ever had to do. Dr Naun was extremely caring and compassionate, and tried Cannon with the highest respect. Everything was explained to me before the appointment so I knew what to expect, and Dr Naun moved forward only when I was ready. She gave me space to say my goodbyes, and followed up afterwards to check up on me. I received a paw print shortly afterwards in the mail, and it was a beautiful keepsake. I was also given a link to enter information about Cannon, and the wrote and amazing remembrance for their page. I can not recommend Arms of Aloha enough. From making the final decision, to the appointment, to aftercare follow ups... Truly a top notch organization that cares about each individual and their fur family members.
Our 17 year old kitty was diagnosed with CKD. When he could no longer hardly walk and stopped eating, we made the difficult decision to help him pass peacefully. We had never scheduled a service like this for our other cats and we were so very torn. But we couldn’t see our cat Polar Bear living like that anymore. It pained us to watch him lose his fight to live and so we called Arms of Aloha to help him. I just want to thank them so much for the gentleness and the kindness they showed us and our beloved fur baby. The staff was very sweet and understanding of the difficulty of what we were going through. And Dr. Nuan was so patient and calming letting us know the process. Assuring us of first deep sedation and sleep. It was so important that Bear was peaceful in the last moments and we are forever grateful for the mercy they gave to our Bear. Thank you, thank you, thank you for giving him that and helping us feel that he didn’t suffer in the last moments. May God bless you, please know that what you do makes an impact in these times. 🌈❤️
I am absolutely blown away by love, tenderness and care we got from Arms of Aloha during what is probably the hardest decision and thing that we have ever had to go through. Dr. Naun came in, explained everything to us, handled everything so professionally and when it came time to walk Koda out to her car (we elected to have him cremated and remains returned to us) - she wrapped him up so warmly and carefully that he just looked like he was taking a nap in the back of her car. HIGHLY RECOMMEND to anyone in the same difficult decision as we were in. Having to watch our only pet of over 10 1/2 years go out with dignity and surrounded by all of us was everything. Thank you Thank you Thank you, Dr. Naun. I will be recommending you to all my friends with pets.
