My apologies this review has taken so long for me to write. I just couldn’t find the right words and everytime I went to write this, I’d break down. Our boy has been gone almost 2 years now and I still reach down to pet him, and take out his food dish. My heart hurts more than I can express, and our boy was so much more than just a cat. He was our “sun”. From the initial call to working with Dave, I felt completely at ease with him. Trust me, I didn’t trust ANYONE with my baby boy. Dave took so much care and had the gentlest heart and soul during this time. He was extremely patient while I kissed my baby about 100x before I said goodbye for the last time. He even went out of his way to assist us on a weekend and answered the multiple calls I made. He was so compassionate and understanding every interaction we had. He had our boy in a beautiful wooden box with his little paw print on there. I was inconsolable at this time, and still cry everyday. I cannot thank Dave and the staff enough for taking care of our baby. He even held onto Oli’s blanket to make sure we got it back, he adored his blanket. People like Dave are true angels on earth, and you could see how he takes this job to heart. From the bottom of my heart, thank you Dave. Thank you for taking such care of our boy and for being such a beautiful person. - C & N
I am very appreciative of this service they provided for my cat who recently had been put to sleep. She was picked up from the vet which is included in the charge and since she was an older cat who basically had lost most of her weight, 4lbs, and was charged accordingly. The people especially Dave were very kind during this whole process.
We cannot thank Pets At Peace enough for the incredible care they provided during a very difficult time for our family. Dave was particularly exceptional, offering the perfect balance of professionalism and compassion as we navigated the loss of our beloved cocker spaniel Zoë. Dave kept us fully informed of every step in the process. His empathetic nature and dedication truly made a difference, which in turn helped us feel better about our loss. We highly recommend Pets At Peace for their outstanding service and the genuine care they extend to grieving pet owners.
I brought my bearded dragon, Rango to Avian Exotic Vet in pooler and he ended up having to be euthanized in April of 2025. I wanted his body cremated so they had me fill out this form with this Crematorium, Pets At Peace. I was told that this form would then be stapled to a bag that Rango is put in and Pets at Peace would pick him up soon. I waited about 2 weeks and I called them to see if there has been an update, this vet told me that they have not been able to get in contact with Pets at Peace and will try and get in contact with them. I waited about another 2 weeks and I called them again and they said they still haven’t been in contact but they seemed more wanting to understand why and they said they will call me back when pets at peace has picked him up. I thought this was ridiculous so I called Pets at Peace and got a hold of the “manager” Dave. He told me that he will personally make sure Rango is picked up on the next pickup which should be later that week. This was the week of May 23rd, 2025. I waited and waited and never heard back for months. And then in July of 2025 I thought this is an insane amount of time to be spent on getting Rango cremated. I decided to take action and really figure out what was going on. I called Pets at Peace and I said “I got my bearded dragon cremated with y’all and was wondering if there was any update on when I’d be getting him back?” And the lady that answered the phone said “let me put you on hold and check” probably 2 minutes later she came back and said “sorry but we never picked up Rango from the vet”. I was so confused because how did Rango never get picked up? So I called the Avian Exotic Vet and got to talk to the manger there named Will and he said that “we would not have signed off on Pets at Peace picking Rango up if Rango wasn’t personally handed to the pickup driver”. So at this point I’m thinking, okay what has happened to Rango’s body and how is this even possible. I called Dave back at Pets at Peace to try and figure this out and I asked for every possible reason why this could have happened and long story short, the answer was that Rango’s body is not at Pets at Peace or the Avian Exotic Vet and he is completely lost… HOW? Is the question that can never be answered because apparently nobody has that answer. It is now August of 2025. I do not have Rango or his ashes like I was supposed to receive and I am truly so disappointed in both of these establishments and I think this is morally wrong for this to have happened. I was thinking about asking for my money back but at the end of the day that doesn’t make a difference because I don’t have closure to my pet dying. I don’t have Rango. I don’t know how it is possible for his body to be gone and nobody have any answer for it. It truly makes no sense. I wish I would’ve been able to read all the other bad reviews on Pets at Peace before deciding to cremate Rango with them, if I did I wouldn’t have used them. I hope you DO NOT use Pets at Peace to cremate your pet. They are the most unprofessional establishment I’ve ever seen.
We had our sweet Aussie girl pass away while on vacation in spring 2020. We were completely distraught and the emergency vet did everything they could to save her. They recommended Pets at Peace by Fox and Weeks for a cremation, and they did a wonderful job! They gave her asked in a beautiful wooden box with a sealed bag of ashes and a sealed fur clipping inside. They also gave us a final paw and nose print on a PawPals keepsake. For such a tragic moment in our lives, they were so nice and easy to work with, especially during the early Covid era!
