Sweet Dreams In-Home Pet Euthanasia

Parting with a beloved pet is a profound and deeply painful experience for any individual or family. The dismissive rhetoric of “it’s just a dog” or “it’s just a cat” can only come from someone who has never known the distinct pleasure of truly raising and loving a pet. When we had to make the heartbreakingly tough decision to say goodbye to our 16-year-old tabby, Sweet Dreams came highly recommended, and we’re so grateful they guided us through our cat’s final moments. The two veterinarians were so kind and empathetic from the moment they walked in. They took time to ask thoughtful questions about our pet, like her name, age, how long we’ve had her, and “what was she like?” At no point did we feel they were there to “do the job” and leave. We felt they cared about our predicament and graciously walked us through the process. Every step of the euthanasia process, they walked us through, and at each step, they described what the step was, most importantly, always asked if we were ready. The team was incredibly skilled, and at no point did we feel our kitty was in distress or in pain during any of the steps. Though the end result is heartbreaking, it could not have been smoother. We hope to never have to call Sweet Dreams again for a very, very long time, but should the time come again someday, there’s no question who we’ll be calling to help us say goodbye.

hard to write this review so I’ll keep it short and sweet although i could and probably should write paragraphs. the pain is still too fresh and close. everything about this service is stellar. dr quinlan is everything you want in a professional doing this type of work, and more. what a kind, compassionate and humane soul. his assistant was just as warm and soft - the approach necessary for this service. angels on earth. they made my dog’s in home passing a reverent, profound and deeply peaceful and spiritual experience. the ladies in the gift shop were equally kind and loving souls. even the receptionist/dispatch who answered my original inquiry on the phone was so kind and understanding and just basically radiated her acknowledgment of the painfulness of my situation. they take care of everything for you. this is the way to send your best friend off into the cosmos if you can. 10/10 perfection, i will never regret relieving my beloved companion and family member’s pain by making sure he passed in familiar and comfortable surroundings with the all the people he loved at his side after he finished eating all his favorite foods.

This team is amazing. Making the call to set up services for your pet is never easy and it’s always painful leading up to, and arriving at that point. They provide as much comfort and relief as is humanly possible during such a difficult time for any pet owner. Dr. Mercier and Haley did an amazing job and were gentle and delicate for our big pup Rocky. We’ve used Sweet Dreams back in 2021, and that initial experience we had was what prompted us to ultimately choose them again when the time came for Rocky. We considered another service but our initial experience with Sweet Dreams was why we chose them again. We have another senior dog with us still and will certainly call Sweet Dreams again when the time comes.

This is probably the hardest review I'll ever write but they absolutely deserve it. I cannot even begin to explain how hard it was to make the call and schedule an appointment to put my best friend and service dog down but even with me crying on the phone they were absolutely amazing and patient. Every set of the way they were perfect. I will never be taking my pet to the vet for their last moments. (Even though I absolutely LOVE my vet.) The option of letting my baby pass here at home is something that I never knew I needed and I am so grateful I found last minute. They made sure that I was ready in every step of the process, were there not only for my baby but also all of us that were there. They cemented and truly made it feel like my baby was a family member (which he was), not just some pet. I 100% recommend them and it was worth every penny. I also did not realize my pet insurance through nationwide would actually reimburse me on top of it so something to keep in mind if you are contemplating it. Thank you SO much to this amazing team. Please never stop giving families this at home closure. It means more than you know.

Thank you for your kindness, compassion, patience, and respect you provided to me and my family at a devastating time. I cannot tell you how much it meant to me to have my little Blanche treated with so much respect and dignity. She had such a hard life for so long and being able to give her a peaceful and respectful journey over the rainbow bridge has helped my grief. You can't imagine how much it meant to me for you to have a sweet basket and soft fluffy pink blanket to carry her out of her home, and tucking her toy in with her. I hope you all know how much it has meant to me and my family. I miss her so much.❤️
