Neptune Society

The Neptune Society was a great decision on the part of my mother. When she passed they were very professional and caring. Everything was prepaid by my mom years ago, so we had a really easy process. It made a difficult time that much easier to get through. My husband and I plan on using their services as well.

The Neptune Society provided the most compassionate, professional care during one of the hardest times my family has ever faced. My father died just six months after my mother. After 19 days in the hospital—17 of which were in the ICU on a ventilator—he came home on hospice at 9:20 PM on September 2 and passed away at 1:20 AM on September 3. He was only home for four hours, and I truly believe he wanted to be home with us. Because things happened so quickly, the hospice nurse accidentally contacted the wrong crematory and reached the Neptune Society. That mistake turned out to be a blessing. From the first call, everyone at the Neptune Society was understanding, professional, and deeply kind. They recognized there had been a mix-up and, understanding our wish not to have my father taken immediately, arranged a private viewing two days later for me and my youngest child—who was very close to my dad. They prepared the chapel thoughtfully and respectfully, allowing us a peaceful opportunity for our final goodbyes. Every aspect of the Neptune Society’s service was handled with care and empathy. Their attention to detail and genuine compassion made a heartbreaking situation more bearable. I cannot imagine trusting anyone else with the care of a loved one during such a painful time. I am profoundly grateful for their support.

I worked with Neptune Society for both of my parents. From beginning to end, the staff was extremely empathetic, responsive, patient and professional. With all of the emotion and chaos that comes with the passing of a loved one, it was a comfort to have Neptune Society manage the process on my behalf and take all of the administration off of my plate. From the night of my wife's passing to her Celebration of Life service , the Neptune Society's Atlanta team , lead by Hannabelle Smith , were outstanding in every respect. Hannabelle is true professional and processes that rare combination of empathy and commitment to excellence. She helped me and my family through the most painful period of our life. I would recommend Neptune Society to anyone needing end of life guidance and direction.

A few days back, I joined the Neptune Society. Now, my last wishes for cremation and burial at sea will be handled by a group of professionals who have helped put to rest more than a million other souls before me. And, the expense is finite. Unlike whole life Insurance, the affordable payments end when the (very reasonable) contract amount is satisfied. My family is so relieved that they won't have to figure it all out themselves. Fact is, I'm glad about that, too! I should have sought out the Neptune Society before now. It just makes such good sense.
