I want to thank Dr. Feliciano and the rest of the Heavenly Paws staff for their help in saying goodbye to my eighteen year old cat, Lucky, who was suffering from end-stage kidney disease last month. Losing a pet is excruciating in any instance, but when a terminal pet suddenly takes a turn for the worse, it is an incredibly difficult to come to terms. When Lucky lost the entirety of his appetite and thirst, as well as the ability to walk comfortably the day before his passing, after consulting with his vet, I knew the time had come where quality of life was no longer at the forefront. I knew, from losing his sibling the prior year, that a house call was the only option I felt comfortable with. Due to the last minute nature, both Orlando-based services were booked up same-day. The level of hopelessness and sadness I had in having to consider bringing him to the emergency clinic (my vet was closed) was heartbreaking. Dr. Feliciano was able to squeeze me in for an appointment later that day. I won’t say the pain was any less, but she was kind, compassionate, caring, gentle, and empathetic, giving me time to say good bye to him and in a completely non-judgmental way despite my overt grief. It takes a special soul to do what Dr. Feliciano and Heavenly Paws do and I am grateful for them. I am happy I was able to spend 18 years with Lucky and miss him desperately, but being able to say goodbye in the comfort and security of a pet’s home is something that I cannot encourage enough. Thank you for helping Lucky go in peace and dignity.
As tough as dealing with the loss of our Ziggy, Heavenly Paws made this as easy to deal with as possible. They are awesome at this and we would 100% recommend them to anyone that must go through this difficult situation. They offer a peaceful passing and Mr. Zigs was able to do just that. Thank you!
I had to let my baby go today. I wasn’t ready and he took a turn for the worse. My heart is shattered. Dr Kara is a very caring sweet woman. Super professional and cares about your pet. Very gentle and sweet too. She came last minute, so my dog wouldn’t suffer anymore. I couldn’t get him in the car to go anywhere. It was extremely expensive unfortunately that was the only downside, but it was the best choice for my baby. He went peacefully 💔 Thank you to Michelle also. I highly recommend their services if you have the money and you want the best for your beloved pet. Thanks again xoxo
I had to say goodbye to my soul dog this morning and chose an at home service vs. at the vet. I cannot thank Heavenly paws enough. My 14 year old Pomeranian suddenly broke her hip and I had to make the tough decision quickly to let her go. I had to do this alone and it was my first time…Dr. Kara was an angel sent down from heaven I swear. The whole process was clear, peaceful and we did not rush. I am feeling relief after it all. Thank you thank you thank you from the bottom of mine and Nala’s heart. ❤️
I cannot share enough kind words about Heavenly Paws House Calls. I had to make the tough decision to put my soul dog down and from the very first interaction I felt cared about and understood. This was my first time losing a pet of my own and I will never put a pet down any other way again. The at-home service was absolutely amazing. It was great for me but it was also great for my dog. She can get stressed out at the vet. Since we were home, she was happy and calm, excited about meeting a new friend. She was comfortable and relaxed and I got to hold her the whole time. My other pets got to see her, to help them understand what was happening. Dr. Kiva was so compassionate with us, the most amazing bedside manner I've ever experienced. She also understood my other dog's behavior without me needing to explain it, which I've never experienced from any vet before. As painful as it is to lose a pet, I truly feel that if you have to make that choice, this is the best way to do it. Everything was on my terms, when I was ready for it. Everything was explained perfectly for me. Thank you, Dr. Kiva, for giving us the best farewell I could have ever asked for.
