Note: I expressed how I felt that’s what a review is for. It was professional like any other transaction and a little more should be put into it. I’ve gotten more from strangers and you are handling her ashes . And yes I was curt. All you had to do was give me an urn, death cert, pendants and ashes separately. That is all you do day in and out and sadly, you couldn’t even do that correctly. It’s nice that you responded though. Just picked up my MIL’s ashes. I was there also in April of this yr. My uncle passed away. I remember a better experience then. As I waited for maybe 3 or 4 minutes, I thought how cold this feels and why should I wait even one minute. They are expecting me and it’s ONE appt at a time. I didn’t even get a “sorry for your loss”. She wasn’t moody or anything, just professional like I’m at any other business picking something up. Transactional not personal at all. I’m handed everything a box and a bag. I check it in my car and they NEVER set aside ashes as I requested. I called originally cause I didn’t see a section to request. It was taken care of by Rosa, if I remember correctly. Anyway, thankfully my husband (her son) wasn’t too concerned but it would have been nice to spread her ashes along with her brother where they lived.

On the worst day of my life, Josette "Josie" Camacho-Freyre made it her personal mission to devastate my world further. I am writing this review through tears of rage and grief, hoping to spare even one other family the profound cruelty we experienced. My mother, my best friend, passed away in April. A sympathetic nurse handed me a list of funeral homes, and in my shocked state, I selected what I believed was a simple, affordable option for a direct cremation. We didn't want a service; we just wanted to bring our mother home and begin to pick up the pieces of our broken lives. A kind older man came to collect my mother. That was the last time I saw her, as I entrusted her to the care of this establishment. That trust was violated almost immediately. Less than three hours after my mother died, the harassment began. Josie Camacho-Freyre called me not once, not twice, but repeatedly, demanding a third payment for the same service because her "system wasn't showing it paid." Instead of showing an ounce of compassion, she berated me—a grieving daughter—for not being able to diagnose her IT problems. She then insisted on speaking to my mother's grieving widow, attempting to bully a heartbroken elderly man into paying money we had already paid. When I refused to be intimidated by her bullying tactics, Josie took the ultimate, unforgivable step: she refused to cremate my mother. Let me be perfectly clear: this woman, at this point, was holding my mother's body hostage over a payment dispute that was a result of her own incompetence. In a panic, I called the first funeral home on the list, Baldwin Brothers (whom I cannot recommend highly enough). The fight to get my mother's body back was horrifying. The contrast was surreal. Where Josie was heartless and aggressive, Baldwin Brothers was compassionate and professional. It took them numerous attempts to contact her, but they finally retrieved my mother. While we did get most of our money back from Josie's establishment, they kept the "transportation fee"—a fee we then had to pay a second time to the funeral home that actually did their job. Josette "Josie" Camacho-Freyre and this company are immoral, heartless, and cruel. They prey on the vulnerable at their most fragile moment. I wouldn't wish this treatment on my worst enemy. Please, learn from our trauma. Look at the other reviews. Send your loved ones anywhere else.

The entire process met my expectations. Initially, I had some reservations due to the online documentation. Ultimately, the outcome aligned with the projected plan, and I am grateful.
