I wish I could give more than 5 stars. If you have any fears or hesitation, let it go. These people are angels and deserve every bit of praise they get. The weekend just after Thanksgiving, our fur baby Samus had a swift decline in her quality of life. We didn't want her to go through any more suffering, but because of the holiday weekend we weren't having any success finding an in-home caregiver. My worst fear was that I would have to drive her to an emergency clinic and have her be around unfamiliar settings and frightened during her last moments. My wife, her mom, is unable to travel and wouldn't have been there with her and that would have been devastating. All of my fears were becoming reality... Then we got a text from Amy that Dr. Mel and her husband would be coming to give Samus peace at home. Dr. Mel's compassionate presence was evident and immediately felt by the entire home, even the kids were put at ease. I cannot be any more thankful to Dr. Mel, her husband James, and Amy for their professionalism and their enormous compassion. I would not hesitate to recommend their services to anyone going through this heartbreaking process.

Absolutely wonderful… Sweet Dr. Mel & her awesome husband came to our home here in Kingsland, Georgia and gently guided our sweet 14 year old Alice bug over the rainbow bridge today. They came and treated us like family with warm hugs, and talked us through the process. Polly Tails is so warm and compassionate. Alice’s passing was beautiful and dignified. Dr.Mel and husband James are the best decision we ever made. Our good boy Dino had the most painfree, peaceful transition to the rainbow bridge. I can't thank them and the office person enough for making this as stress free as possible. They all were very caring and supportive. We were truly blessed finding Polly tails and I hope you are too.

Thank you for being so amazing, kind, and gentle. Dr. Mel explained every step and was very mindful of the kids with her explanations. She made them feel like a part of the process while at the same time letting them know it was okay to take a break and leave the room. The process was loving and very patient. It take a special person to be able to go into the situation and help the grieving family get through the hard part of saying goodbye.

After almost 10 years with my best friend, I had to make a really hard decision for my family's safety and I am blessed to have found Dr. Mel's service. In addition to my dog's occasional problems at home, he is also vet aggressive and dislikes injections and sedatives very much. I knew that going to the vets office would be an anxiety filled experience for him the whole way through and that it would be a miserable way for him to have to leave us. Dr Mel did amazing with him and was willing to trust in my experience with him. I wouldn't blame her for taking every precaution. Despite the precautions we did have to take and despite his typical behavior, she was able to work with us to make an exceedingly peaceful and sentimental final afternoon with our boy. He lulled to sleep beside us looking at a beautiful sunset in our front yard, his favorite place to be. Dr Mel is very kind and has a genuine passion for helping and I thank God that we chose her service for my family and my best friend. Thank you Dr Mel and James.
