My experience with Jacksonville Pet Crematory was incredible. It was such a sad situation for me, but I trusted them and it turned out better than I ever imagined! I got such compassionate assistance, and what I received was so beautiful I cried and held it the whole way home. It is so special to me. I would recommend this pet crematory to ANYONE in need of these services. They are local and have been in business a long time. Have your pet handled by the local professionals here. Highly highly recommend! Our cat died suddenly and when I called to find out details about the cremation process, pricing, etc he spent a while on the phone explaining everything. When the ashes came back everything in the bag was so nicely done… besides the ashes, they also gave us a paw print of our cat and some of his hair. I’m so glad that we used this place to handle it cats remains and return him to us.

We have been using Jimmy's services for over 10 years and for numerous family pets. We went this direction to be assured that the remains we received were actually our pet and only our pet. While we trust our veterinarian, it wasn't clear who they contracted with or how that company actually handled the cremation. We really like having the entire process handled locally and being able to trust the result. We found that making arrangements at the front desk of the vet's office wasn’t right for us. Jacksonville Pet Funeral Home has a large dedicated facility and we've been able to make these decisions in private without being rushed. We have chosen from the the sample urns on display and we’ve also special ordered items in the past. Everything has been high quality and the wooden items have held up very well over the years. For us, the most important aspect of the service has been dealing with unexpected timing. Jimmy prioritizes being available for pickups or meeting you at his office if you are bringing your pet to him. For example, I’ve been to his office a number of times on a Saturday or Sunday morning. In another case, he knew our veterinarian and worked out a pickup on a Saturday when the vet's office was normally closed. Each time, this has kept an already stressful situation from being more stressful due to unfortunate timing. I highly recommend this company and giving some thought to what you might do well in advance of needing the service.

Mr. Hughey was amazing! I didn't expect to receive such personal care for my beloved Bella. Her urn was beautiful and the documents and folder returned with her were amazing. He even was kind enough to let me bring in my other pup Max (who died in 2023 and was cremated by another place) and prepare a new urn, since the one I received from a local place was cheap and shoddy (Paid the same amount for 2 totally different experiences. Mr. Hughey at Jacksonville Pet and Funeral Home is obviously the best!). He Gave my Max a proper urn and explained all the legalities and how cremation should work. I fully heartedly would recommend him and Jacksonville Pet and Funeral Home to any one who is unfortunate enough to need the service, but you loved one will be treated with love and respect!
