The Green Cremation

Everyone at The Green Cremation were wonderful to talk to when we needed their services this summer for our daughter. They gave me peace of mind and were very kind and caring. The support they offer even after their services have been completed also comforting. I would highly recommend them if you are in need. Green cremation just seems to me to be a gentler process than traditional cremation.

John F Tierney Funeral Home in Manchester, CT, and The Green Cremation were the right choices for our beloved Ray. Ray was conscious of his environment and was a science fiction lover, and the Aqua Cremation was something Ray would have loved because the process is cleaner for the environment. The tube in which the Aqua Cremation takes place looks like a high spaceship. The staff were compassionate, kind, thoughtful, and understanding. They explained what options were available and what process each entailed. They were always there for on-hand assistance and understanding when we needed quietness. They were very respectful, and I owe a debt of gratitude to each person who was involved in helping us get through this difficult time. They have let me know that other services are available, such as groups for grieving, help with sorting out your finances, and ensuring everyone who needs to be notified is notified. It’s hard to express how grateful I am to Green Cremation and their fine staff. They made a terribly painful situation as painless as possible. At the end of March my wife of 44 years passed away peacefully in her sleep, unexpectedly. I was in shock. While waiting for the authorities to arrive I called my best friend to give him the news. My wife and I made our Wills over 20 years ago and I haven’t thought about it since. I recalled she wanted to be cremated and a green cremation if possible. I didn’t know what that entailed and neither did my friend. I was too upset to research the matter, but my friend did the research. He called me back and discovered Green Cremation in Manchester Connecticut. I was in no condition to make the call to them myself, so we had a three way conversation. We spoke to a gentleman named Thomas Tierney who described to us the procedure. Both my friend and I were so impressed with his professionalism and manner we decided to use his services. All questions we asked were answered with patience and concern. His office manager Heather Sanzo followed up on every procedure in detail after that. She and I emailed, texted, and phoned about the next steps, she showed the same professionalism that Mr. Tierney provided. I was quite satisfied with the financial part of the services. Everything, in fact went perfectly, including follow up call to see how I was doing. If the time comes when friends or family pass, I will wholeheartedly recommend Green Cremation.
