If I could give more stars I would. Loosing our little old man (21 years old..) was by far one of the hardest days of our lives. It happened on a Sunday and we called around trying to find some place that would take him without us having to hold onto him until the next day, it was hard to find anywhere that offered this! I came across pet passage and looked at their website and was really impressed with their different packages they offered. I also saw they offered after hour drop offs for an additional fee so I reached out. I spoke with an answering service who sent my info to Jill; Jill called me back within not even five minutes. She was very sympathetic and was able to meet us within the next two hours. We got there and were greeted by her, along with Norman the dog and Jill’s young daughter who joined her as well. We were shocked when she showed us the rainbow bridge room, it was beautiful and nice to be able to privately say our last goodbyes before sitting down and talking about our options. There was zero rushing, zero pressure, none of that, even on a day that she wasn’t scheduled to be there. Did I mention she was super pregnant too? (Congratulations❤️) I mean she is just super woman. The options were amazing and so beautiful and we were very excited to get all of our stuff. We left feeling way better about everything, and she gave us all the reassurance we needed about everything and anything. I loved the option to follow online the process of everything happening, it was some how more comforting. We picked up our items and when I tell you we cried our eyes out all over again.. everything was so beautiful you can see the love and care that went into EVERYTHING. We made so many adjustments and we asked for a lot.. and we couldn’t be happier with it all. We can’t thank you all enough for everything you have done for us and our little old man Scatt, thank you ❤️

During one of the saddest periods of my life I came upon Pet Passages and everyone, I mean EVERYONE, including Norman the dog made my sadness lighter. They were kind, thoughtful, accessible and understanding. I've had many fur kids, all have life expectancies more tenuous than mine so I am no stranger to this drill. But Pet Passages helped to make everything easier to go through. I cannot recommend them enough. 💟

This place is utterly amazing. Jill was so lovely and compassionate. She made this process so easy and seamless for me. She had so much patience and care for me as I was falling apart at the seams more than once. I can't thank you and your whole staff, your sweet little girl, and your little dog. I thank you all whole heartedly for the beautiful paw and nose prints. Even though my baby is gone, I can still boop her little nose print. I can honor her every day in the way that she deserves and that is thanks to Pet Passages and Jill.

Pets are precious. The joyful day you bring that kitten home and see the look on your kids face. But we also know that sad, dreadful day will eventually arrive. Hoping to get the max age longevity, sometimes that isn’t the case. Our cat Deuce had liver cancer just short of 9 years old. Very difficult, gut wrenching, heartbreak. We lost a member of the family. We wanted to do something special. I started hitting Google. I was attracted to Pet Passages because of the cat urn they sold. I had no idea I was in for much more. I made a 10am appointment. I pulled up and started walking towards the front door, I never made it to the door. The door opened and I was greeted outside. My arrival was anticipated. I went to my jeep and took Deuce inside. She then said, you can place Deuce in the Rainbow Bridge Room. Ok, I almost lost it, how thoughtful. The entire process and different packages were explained to me in great detail. In between the explanation were pauses of sympathy. I was already aware of the packages and which one I wanted, Their website is extensive and self explanatory. I actually left there feeling a lot better. I picked up Deuce today and yet another presentation of what I’m receiving. It was all taken out and displayed to me. It’s horrible to lose a pet but Pet Passages and their staff are the most sympathetic, nicest people I’ve met in this sad experience. They really eased the pain. I can’t thank them enough and 5 stars isn’t enough to express my gratitude.

We just said goodbye to our beloved black cat, Marco, who was with us for nearly 20 years. There are no words for the heartbreak of losing a companion who has been such a constant presence, but Pet Passages Southbury helped carry us through one of the hardest moments of our lives. This was actually the second time we have relied on their service—two years ago, when our other cat Keith passed away, they treated us with such kindness and understanding that there was never any doubt we would return to them for Marco. Incredibly, the same staff welcomed us back. There was a sense of gentle continuity and deep care that made us feel safe in our grief. What I appreciate most is how the staff respected our emotions—never forcing anything, never rushing us, just quietly supporting us and allowing us the space and dignity to say goodbye in our own way. Their small acts of compassion made all the difference. The ink paw print of Marco that they prepared for us means more than I can say. It’s a precious, tangible memory of his life and our bond. I am truly, deeply grateful for Pet Passages Southbury. If you are facing the loss of a beloved pet and don’t know how you will manage, I hope you find your way to their care. They made one of the most painful experiences in my life just a little more bearable, and I will never forget their kindness.
