Mountain View Funeral & Cremation

I couldn't be more pleased with my overall experience with Mountain View. I would give them more than five stars if I could. The professionalism and care displayed by the staff was both comforting and efficient. They were responsive to all our requests and ever so helpful though this most difficult time. I highly recommend this business.

Teresa Cain is absolutely amazing! She is very personable and professional. She made planning our end of life celebrations so comforting, easy, and worry free. Everything was easy to understand and there were morel than enough options to fit any style and budget. We cannot recommend her enough.

Nothing went as expected after my husband passed. He died on Friday, Mountain View came to pick him up and said someone would be calling me on Monday to discuss what comes next. On Monday, no one called, so in my grief I waited until 4:00 pm I called them. I don't remember much about that call. I called them again to find out when they wanted me to bring the urn for his ashes. I called them again when it was time to publish the obituary. I emailed the information for the obituary and after a day of waiting and not finding it on the website I called again and they said they hadn't received it so I sent it to them again. I got an email with a link for family and friends to upload memories and pictures but the link had expired so I had to contact them again to get it fixed. And just today they actually called me to say the ashes were at their office, I knew it wasn't going to be an easy task so I gathered all my courage and went to get his ashes. When I arrived they took me into a room where the ashes were but they weren't in the urn I had dropped off, the woman that helped me said the person in charge had not given them any information about there being an urn. I can't recommend anything about my experience with Mountain View Mortuary. I'm tempted to get the ashes tested for DNA just to make sure it his my husband. They in my opinion were very unorganized, and lacked compassion for me. When your loved one passes you want to be taken care of, they did not do that.

Unfortunately my experience wasn’t good. The person (Jamie) I worked with was not professional. Lack of communication, did not return phone calls and when I could get in touch with her she made excuses why things weren’t complete. We had to go to her boss (Nicole)to get things done in time for my son’s services.

The staff, especially Nicole, was courteous, respectful, kind and knowledgeable. I have already informed my family that when it comes time for my passing I want them to use Mountain View Funeral and cremation.
