About Paws & Claws Aquamation and Memorials

We help you with your pet's aftercare. Instead of fire cremation we use aquamation, which is a combination of water flow, temperature, and alkalinity to accelerate nature's process. It is better for the environment and gentle on your pet like a slow flowing river.

Our beloved Pom passed away earlier this year, and Paws & Claws handled the cremation. As much as I wish our little guy could have lived forever, given the circumstances, I couldn't imagine a better place to trust. Brian was professional, supportive, and genuinely kind throughout the entire process. We knew our dog was near his end for a few weeks, which gave us time to call around a bunch of places in advance to ask questions. The people who answered us at Paws & Claws had excellent phoneside manner, and I could tell that they were genuinely personal. Their pricing was the best we found, and they allow customers to customize the final package, which reduced our own price as we cut things out that we didn't need. They also gave us several extra paw ink stamps on card stock paper we brought in (while another company wanted to charge us an extra $15 per stamp). When we visited in person, we learned that the owner himself lost two dogs the previous year and performed their aquamation himself. I mentioned that must have been unimaginably hard, and he said something that really stuck with me: "Who else could I trust as much as myself for this?" I really felt that captured the care and integrity someone like Brian brings to his work. I hope we won't be needing their services again for a long time, but for anyone in the same boat as we were, I wholeheartedly recommend Paws & Claws. Seriously, you stop your search now, and you won't regret it. They will take care of you and treat your loved one with true respect.

Making the decision to say goodbye to my sweet girl after 16 years was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. From the moment I called and spoke with Deana, I knew this was the company I would choose when that moment came. When it did, Dr. Mark and Deana were both incredibly professional and deeply compassionate. They listened patiently as we shared stories about our girl and gave us all the time we needed—before, during, and after—never making us feel rushed. They even allowed us to carry her from our home to the van, which meant more to us than I can put into words. When I went the following week to pick up her ashes, I felt that same level of care and compassion. Paws and Claws went far above and beyond my expectations, and every bit of their service was worth it. I would recommend them again and again without hesitation.

We are extremely grateful to Brian and Deanna for providing the most gentle aftercare for our beloved dog. It was very comforting to leave Ricky in such a beautiful environment, cared for by most kind and respectful professionals. Deanna and Brian pay attention to every detail and never hesitate to take an extra step to ease the pain of losing a pet. They helped us made a choice from their one-of-a-kind memorial center and gave us all the time we needed to say goodbye to Ricky. We received the precious memorabilia of our dog individually wrapped in beautiful bags, along with a sincere condolences card and a seeded heart to plant in Ricky’s memory. Thank you, Brian and Deanna, for your outstanding professionalism, genuine kindness, and tremendous support!

I'm so glad I found this place. Thank you Brian for all you do, after the passing of my daughter's teddy bear hamster, he was able to help us after hours, we really appreciate you. Brian is so professional and compassionate, I know our loved hamster was in good hands. This process is so amazing, aquamation was the best way. Thank you again Paws & Claws you are amazing 100% recommend

This review is long overdue but Brian & Deanna are THE BEST!! I brought my soul dog to them when he passed in November 2023 on the night before Thanksgiving. They were nice enough to stay open over an hour after closing so we could bring him in and stay a while to say our goodbyes. They were both so sweet and caring in returning his ashes and all the little memoirs they so kindly included. Then, we unfortunately met again in August of this year when my cat suddenly passed. I was reminded again how caring they are and how they really make you feel heard and held in times of grief. It’s disappointing that we always meet under such sad circumstances because they are truly great people! I love their facility and I will continue to take my pets here because I know they are handled with love and care. As someone who is uncomfortable with traditional cremation, I am so grateful an alternative option exists & isn't as expensive as a burial. If you happen to be met with the loss of a beloved pet, you can trust that Brian & Deanna will take great care of your furry loved one! Thank you so much to the team at Paws & Claws, you’re the best!!
