I am writing to share my exceptionally positive experience with Bay Area Mortuary, and particularly with Janet Morales, during a very difficult time for my family. When my mother passed away unexpectedly, we were overwhelmed with grief and the numerous arrangements that needed to be made. Our family is based in the Bay Area, and we wished to hold the viewing here, even though my mother was in Redding, California, four and a half hours away. I contacted Janet on her day off, a Saturday, and she immediately called her supervisor, explained our situation, and arranged for my mother to be picked up and transported to San Jose without delay. The driver even called me at 8:30 PM to confirm my mother was in their care, a deeply comforting gesture that brought me immense peace of mind. Janet continued to provide outstanding support, promptly responding to all my texts, calls, and emails, and guiding me through the necessary paperwork. The team at Bay Area Mortuary was incredibly accommodating, ensuring my mother's viewing was exactly as we had arranged. While Bay Area Mortuary may not be the largest or most opulent facility, they are a family-owned business that operates with remarkable cleanliness, respect, and a deep understanding of families in mourning. Their dedication and hard work truly eased our pain during this sorrowful period. I wholeheartedly recommend them for their compassionate and professional service. Some might comment on parking, but such minor issues were inconsequential to me given the circumstances. My sole focus was on my mother and the exceptional care provided by Bay Area Mortuary. I am profoundly grateful for the peace of mind they offered by taking such wonderful care of my mother. Thank you, Janet, for everything you did for our family.

Just recently we unfortunately lost my uncle. We called multiple places around San Jose to get him ready for us to say our last goodbyes. We called Bay Area Mortuary and immediately got thought to Anna. She was wonderful beginning to end. She took care of hospice for us and got my uncle picked up from his home with in minutes. The day of the viewing they helped us transfer him from the funeral home to church. From 2-5pm we were back for the viewing and with the help of Anna and Lisa everything ran very smoothly. Anna once again was beyond wonderful and we loved that she was very accommodating with times and Anna from the bottom of my heart thank you so much on behalf of my family and I. You were beyond professional and wonderful!

Very unprofessional funeral place. As we arrived to this place, I noticed the door to the managers office was wide open with a disgruntled employee complaining about her job and another employee. It was loud enough for those of us arriving to view and hear. Then there was a guy (employee) in a shirt walking around the place with a shirt that read “Can’t fix stupid” . Who wears that to work especially a funeral home? Very unprofessional and insensitive. This place lacks the professionalism of a funeral home. Do not waste your money here. Parking was horrible. Lack of parking is an understatement. The funeral home could have prepared to have their employees park elsewhere when having a booked service to temporarily accommodate families arriving for a paid booked service.

I want to thank Bay Area Mortuary and all their staff especially Janet Morales, for going above and beyond they tended to our every need and request, allways polite and respectful given the circumstances and the challenge of 320 people they had to maneuver around, they all did a tremendous job. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
