From the moment we walked into the funeral home after my wife's passing we knew we were in the right place. The funeral director Terry, working in conjunction with Megan were both FANTASTIC! The grace, compassion understanding and love that were given to, and shared with us were heaven sent. Losing my wife of 43 years.. most definitely was the worst day of my life, the staff at Frederick Dean helped us to find light in the darkness, and refuge in the storm. Thank you 🙏 Father.

Joseph, the owner, and Meagan, who handled the arrangements of my husband's services, went above and beyond to make the process as easy as possible. They were both so compassionate, kind and patient with me as I dealt with the sudden passing of my loved one. They truly care about what you are experiencing and help in any way possible to make sure they handle every detail. They were available everytime I called and always treated me with upmost respect. I highly recommend their services to anyone in AL! Thank you Joseph and Meagan for all you've done for our family!!

The Frederick Douglass Funeral Home provided excellent service with compassion and professionalism. The staff were caring and respectful, making a difficult time a little easier. I truly appreciate their kindness and attention throughout the process. They were more helpful than I could ever express.Meagan was so supportive and helpful. She helped me so much more than I can describe, she has such a kind soul.

Megan, as well the owner, were so kind and made the process of cremating my dear mother a peaceful experience. Her death was very unexpected and we had no idea what we were doing. They helped us navigate this entire tragedy and without their assistance we would have been lost. I recommend these kind people to everyone!! Alabama Funeral Home was very prompt in handling what needed to be done. I was able to handle everything by phone. The personnel who assisted me were friendly, caring and knowledgeable and assisted me step by step throughout the process. I had no problems and highly recommend them.
